* Always refer to the campout checklist

Scouts and Scout Leaders should wear the Field Uniform for all ceremonial and indoor activities including troop meetings, Board of Review and Court of Honor.  The Field Uniform should also be worn during special outdoor occasions such as flag ceremonies, Scout shows, popcorn sales, travel to or from Scout activities and campouts, and special times during summer camp.

During physically active outdoor events and informal activities, Scouts should wear the Activity Uniform.  This is why a Troop 173 T-shirt is part of the Field Uniform - you never know when you may need to remove your Class A shirt for activities.

No alterations or additions to the official uniform may be made by any Scout, Scout leader, or Scouting official.  In accordance with the BSA Charter, any imitation of military uniforms is prohibited.  Camouflage pants, shorts, shirts and hats are prohibited!!
